| The Boomer Biker, for experienced and new riders alike.
Here is a place where "boomers" can learn about suitable bikes,
gear, events and tips
Motorcycles are not just about riding. Bikes are about
art, mechanics, sound, motion and speed. Bikes represent a
complete culture. Go to any biking event, whether a local
open-house at the nearest motorcycle store or to a show, rally
or racing event and you'll see people from every age and
walk of life, including entire families with parents and grandparents
-- all
on bikes. Many events, particularly Harley Davidson and
Classic Bike shows, seem to draw crowds that clearly are more
than 50% boomers* and beyond.
This website serves as a resource center for the boomer biker,
from publications, website links, technical questions, safety
issues and products, to community-related activities, including
discussion forums, group rides, shows and organized events.
We look forward to many years of safe and enjoyable riding, and
meeting many of you, in person or at our forums.
* The baby boomer generation refers to the group
of us born between 1946 and 1964; therefore, those of us
38-to-56.
